I designed this poster for the 2023 Impulse Art and Design Exhibition at ClearWater Arts Center & Studios.

 

Reviewing previous designs, I noticed there was a lack of a consistent theme with each submission. For my own design I wanted to focus on an artistic abstract theme, so I used different paint brushes in Photoshop and varied the opacity to make the background. I used the Avenir typeface with the font set Next Condensed Demi Bold font as the title of the poster because it was simpler than the approved fonts in RCCC’s branding, which are Modern No. 20 and Streetbrush. The rest of the poster design ensured font consistency, alignment, phrasing, and making sure the logos and additional design elements were placed.
